Awesome. I'm looking forward to reading through this. Thanks for taking the trouble to blog it for those of us who can't attend your class.
David - I hope you enjoy the journey with us. The lessons are for children aged 4 to 10. The lesson plans and review notes are for whoever reads them: children, teaching colleagues, and learners like you and me.
The lessons themselves are short - more like seeding the ground than 'teaching'. If the children do learn languages later or Hebrew in school, it will not be as unfamiliar as it has been to us.
I wish I had the language learning ability of that age group!
My eldest son, now 38, used to say of things than ran around on the floor when he was a toddler - 'it works by itself!'
Neither you nor I knows exactly how our brain works - but let me assure you yours and mine are still working and they work by themselves. Just feed it every day - letter recognition, word recognition, then form recognition- both aural and visual. 15 minutes a day will do - but keep feeding it.
Someone once challenged me a few years ago - you have the gift of tongues, why not ask God for some help with Hebrew? So as well as the care and feeding of the brain, don't forget the request for help from the creator of language.
